1. Match the Material to the Vehicle

2. Review the Exterior Methodically

Watch the walkaround once for an overall impression, then again for details. Look for visible marks or damage on each side, the bumpers, wheels, glass, lamps, and areas shown in close-up.

Use precise questions when something needs clarification:

• “Could you show the lower edge of the left rear door more closely?”
• “Is this mark a reflection, a scratch, or a dent?”
• “What information is available about repairs to this area?”

If you need checks of the underside, corrosion, paintwork, or a particular component, ask whether they can be arranged and how the result will be reported. Lighting and camera angle can affect what is visible, so an unclear image is a reason to request more information.

3. Check the Interior and Equipment You Need

Review the seats, dashboard, luggage space, and any visible wear. Compare the seating arrangement and equipment with your intended use. This can be especially important for a family vehicle, passenger business, or a buyer seeking a specific configuration.

Ask for confirmation of features you plan to rely on, such as air conditioning, seat functions, cameras, door operation, or other fitted equipment. Identify exactly which function you want demonstrated rather than asking whether “everything works.”

When the instrument panel appears, note the displayed mileage and any indicators you want explained. Ask for context about the vehicle's operating state and any relevant test results. A brief dashboard image alone does not establish the condition of every system.

4. Read Available Records Alongside the Images

Ask which history, mileage, service, or inspection information is available for that vehicle. Confirm what each record covers and its date, and discuss any gaps or differences between the listing and the material provided.

Keep three kinds of information separate in your notes: what you can see, what a record states, and what the team has confirmed after a check. This helps you avoid turning an unanswered question into an assumption.
